We did a full day multi-pitch climbing in the Wasatch in Salt Lake City. A fantastic trip for just the 2 of us led by Carl. We met just 20 minutes away from downtown and had the best day of highly personalized climbing instruction and fun. Would highly recommend.

I had the absolute best time climbing with Carl in Big Cottonwood Canyon! He picked me up from a coffee shop and took us off to the trails, where he picked out the perfect shaded routes to beat the heat. Super thoughtful, friendly, and easy to chat with—he really took the time to understand what I wanted from the day. We tackled a multipitch and a few single pitch climbs, and he was such a patient and educational guide throughout. Bonus: he made sure I got back to my hotel safe and sound. Honestly, couldn’t have asked for a better adventure!

John was a consummate professional. He got my boys up their first multi-pitch climb in Big Cottonwood Canyon on an ultra classic line. I really appreciated his ability to make this memorable experience happen. Super friendly and I would not hesitate to use him again and recommend to my friends.

I had a wonderful multipitch climb in Little Cottonwood Canyon. John was informative and kept me safe. Fingercracks, slabs, amazing scenery and weather. I would do it again tomorrow if I had an opportunity.

Red River Adventures will provide all the technical equipment required to guide our listed climbing options. However, climbers are strongly encouraged to bring their own climbing gear, if they have it, on our guided climbs. Instructors will inspect any personal equipment brought prior to use on our trips. In some instances, there may be a required gear list. This will be distributed prior to the course dates.

Yes, but we will need to have climbed with you prior or evaluate your lead and anchoring skills prior to letting you lead.
Yes. We provide all gear. You just need clothing, approach shoes, food, and water.
Absolutely, you are welcome to bring any gear you have. We will inspect it before climbing and provide alternate equipment if it doesn’t meet our standards.
