Outdoor Climbing Classes & Instruction

The Classic Indian Creek Crack Camp is a 3-day Utah crack climbing clinic for climbers who want to improve their crack climbing. Led by Mary Eden (@tradprincess), these camps offer intensive coaching on crack techniques, gear, and systems. Ideal for climbers looking to level up skills, climb iconic routes, and connect with a community of passionate trad climbers.
The 3-day AMGA SPI course introduces the technical and teaching skills necessary to instruct climbing in a single-pitch setting. Through instruction and practice, students learn both hard and soft skills that are needed to pass the AMGA SPI exam and then guide in the single-pitch setting.
You meet the SPI Assessment Pre-Requisites if you’ve completed an AMGA Single Pitch Instructor Course, lead climbed at least 40 trad routes (comfortably at 5.6), and can top-rope at 5.8. While the assessment can be taken immediately after the course, 3-6 months of practice is recommended to consolidate skills.
Rock 101 teaches climbers the skills to safely climb outdoors on their own, building on basic gym or occasional climbing experience. Offered in Moab and Salt Lake City, the course covers anchor construction, top-rope setup, and single-pitch outdoor climbing techniques.
Rock 201 is for climbers ready to progress beyond Rock 101, focusing on leading, anchor building, and cleaning routes. This hands-on course emphasizes skill development and risk management, preparing you to climb independently.
Advanced Multi-Pitch Climbing is for experienced climbers looking to tackle bigger objectives. The course focuses on multi-pitch efficiency, advanced risk management, and techniques to climb more safely and confidently with a partner.
Trad Climbing is for experienced sport climbers ready to master gear placement, anchors, and multi-pitch systems. This course focuses on leading, protecting your climbs, and practicing gear placement and mock leading under the guidance of an instructor.
