Originally from New Jersey, Carl quit a career on Wall Street and in NYC and moved to Salt Lake City in September 1997 to, as his wife puts it, ski. After the first 100-ski-day winter, he discovered the many other outdoor activities that Utah has to offer. In 2003, he launched Red River Adventures and has grown the company into a four-season guide service. After 22 seasons, he is actively involved with operations and guiding skiing, rock, and ice climbing.
