Our most popular Moab canyoneering trip! This secluded canyoneering and rappelling adventure through Bow and Arrow Canyon is just a short drive from Moab! Bow and Arrow is a dazzling and less crowded canyon, possessing views of dinosaur tracks, petroglyphs, and the stunning 80-foot Long Bow Arch. It’s a diverse outing with four rappels, including a free-hanging rappel of 110 feet (33 meters). Big views of Moab’s famous sandstone fins and the La Sal Mountains make this an excursion you won’t soon forget!
During the trip, our AMGA-certified SPI will set the tone for an exciting and educational day, focusing on safety and, most importantly, FUN!

Our guides Dan and Emily were humorous and patient with us! This trip is sure to reward you with fantastic views! First time canyoneering for me and it was daunting, but just focusing on our guides’ instructions and not panicking made it doable.
This trip involves a fair bit of clambering up rocks, walking across sand and butt sliding down rocks. I am definitely not an athletic person, but accomplishing this is truly a satisfaction! Highly recommended to anyone who isn’t afraid of heights, and has the fitness to brisk walk 5km.

Super fun guided trip that includes the right amount of technical rock climbing, scrambling, hiking and rappelling. A great option for hot days with water in the canyons. We waded through a section at our chest height and backpacks over our heads. Nathan our guide was patient and experienced, especially with our group of first timer teens and rusty parents.

I had an amazing time canyoneering! It brought my trip to Moab to another level. Brian, our guide, made us feel safe & taught us many things on the journey to the canyons. No experience necessary! Definitely recommend for those who like adventure and aren’t afraid of heights 🙂

Nathan was a great guide for canyoneering! Very patient and helpful to literally talk you off a cliff! Thrilling experience and would highly recommend. Be prepared for rock scrambling through the canyon to get to the repels.

What you should pack:
Absolutely—a mix of natural wonder, a dash of adrenaline, and expert guiding makes it a highlight of any Moab hiking itinerary.
Four rappels, plenty of scenery, ancient rock art, and guides who will elevate the trip.
Yes! Recommended for ages 8+.
Yes. We use a releasable rappel system with two ropes for every descent. This setup allows your guide to control or stop the rappel at any time, adding a significant safety margin. It also means that if you need assistance mid-rappel, we can lower you smoothly to the ground. This dual-rope, guide-managed system gives you both security and confidence while you enjoy the descent.
Once we start the hike, going back is not really an option. The guide or guides are responsible for getting the group through the route. There is no one available to go back to the start or drive you back to town.
No, the only way to exit Bow and Arrow is to complete the Rappels
Available—just ask, and we’ll tailor your adventure.
