We had a great day with our guide Dan! First we hiked to two rappels. Dan explained everything clearly and alleviated kids’ fears (kids are 10, 11, 14). They loved it! We then hiked out of Grandstaff Canyon along a creek bed and back to the waiting van. After driving to Fisher’s Tower portion of the Colorado, Dan prepared a delicious lunch spread before we rafted an hour or so on the river. Our guide was witty and knowledgeable, but also safety oriented. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to fit in a couple of activities into one trip. We had a very positive experience from booking to the end of our adventure.

My husband and I took our 2 teenage boys on an exciting Rim to River Trip which is a 1/2 day of canyoneering and 1/2 day of white water rafting with Red River Adventures. We thoroughly enjoyed our day! This was our first time canyoneering and we were quite anxious. Our guide, Mitch put us at ease. He was super patient and gave lots of positive feedback which increased our confidence. Another thing I liked about Red River is that they didn’t do any kind of cheesy photo opportunity like other rafting companies do to try to make a buck selling photos. If you are looking for a great vacation experience, book a trip with Red River Adventures. They are the pros in the Moab area. I highly recommend this company!

My son (17 yr old) wanted to go canyoneering but I am afraid of heights. This was not a problem when booking with Red River Adventures. They explained how he could go canyoneering in the am, and then I could join the group for rafting in the afternoon. He was a bit hesitant when I dropped him off, but Mitch & Adam were wonderful! When I met up with them at 1130am, he was so glad that he went and had plenty of stories to share along with the comment “Mom, you wouldn’t have done so well with the cliffage”! Lunch was delicious and rafting was a perfect way to cool off on a hot afternoon. Adam was a blast to have on the river, guiding us. Definitely glad we did this!

We did a 3.5 mile hike with a 95 and 120 foot repel followed by a 6 mile rafting trip. The experience was awesome. Adam, our guide was very knowledgeable and professional. He helped 1st time repellers over the edge with great patience and confidence building. I don’t think some people would have been able to do it without him.

My father and I did the full day rim to river tour which consisted of a 3 mile hike, canyonering off a 95 and 120 foot cliff face and land bridge, as well as a 7 mile white water rafting trip. It was all absolutely amazing!!! There was not a bad part of any of it. The best part is our two guides, Dan and Mitch, were extremely knowledgeable so you felt very safe. They were also hysterical and kept us laughing the whole time. Highly highly recommend. You get a little bit of everything with the rim to river trip! I would go back to Red River Adventures in an instant the next time we’re in Moab. If you like thrills, this is the trip option for you!!
