Our guided canyoneering trips in Moab take you into twisting sandstone corridors where every corner reveals a new surprise. Experience the world-renowned Bow and Arrow Canyon, Medieval Chamber, Entrajo Canyon, or Rock of Ages, trip. Our guides handle all the technical rigging and safety systems so you can focus on the experience — rappelling cliffs, exploring hidden canyons, and soaking up the magic of the desert.
No! Our trips are beginner-friendly, and your guide will provide the instructions you need to complete the rappels and enjoy the trip.
We provide all technical gear, including harnesses, helmets, and ropes. You’ll just need comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, water, and snacks.
Most trips last 4–6 hours, depending on the route and pace. Expect a mix of hiking, scrambling, and rappelling.

Yes! Red River Adventures offers guided canyoneering trips for families with kids as young as 8. Expert guides use a backup rope they control, so anyone with a sense of adventure can participate. Routes like Medieval Chamber are safe, scenic, and fun for all ages.
Medieval Chamber is great for families, with two fun rappels and a 3-mile hike. Bow and Arrow Canyon offers scenic views, dinosaur tracks, and four rappels—including a 110-foot free-hanging rappel—perfect for adventurous kids.
Guides are certified, experienced, and excellent at coaching people new to canyoneering, making these routes perfect for first timers. Entrajo Canyon is perfect for those starting out. A short 12-foot rappel is followed by a second, optional 70-foot rappel. Wrap this with incredible scenery and expert guides and you’ve got a great introduction that is fun and safe.
That’s up to you and we’ve got great options. Bow and Arrow Canyon: Four rappels, petroglyphs, and a 110-ft drop. Rock of Ages: 3 rappels, scrambling, and water spread out over 6 rugged miles. It’s the complete package. Entrajo Canyon: Easy, family-friendly, and full of natural beauty. Morning Glory: 2 BIG rappels, get up close to Morning Glory Arch and a scenic hike make this a favorite.
