Hands-on learning in real outdoor environments
At Red River Adventures, our outdoor courses and clinics are more than just classes—they’re the foundation for a lifetime of safe, rewarding adventure. Whether you’re preparing for bigger objectives, pursuing professional certifications, or simply wanting to climb, ski, or ride with more confidence and a deeper level of outdoor education, we have programs designed for you.
Our offerings include AIARE avalanche education, AMGA Single Pitch Instructor certification, Crack Camp with Mary Eden, and a variety of recreational climbing, skiing, and snowboarding clinics. Each program is led by passionate instructors who live and breathe the disciplines they teach.
We keep group sizes small and instruction personalized, so you walk away with practical knowledge, refined skills, and the confidence to take your adventures further.
Each course specifies prerequisites. Many clinics are beginner-friendly, while AIARE and SPI courses may require some prior experience.
Basic personal gear is recommended, but rental/demo equipment is often available. A detailed gear list is provided upon booking.
Our courses run in Moab, the Wasatch Mountains near Salt Lake City, and select international locations depending on the program.
Our instructors include AMGA-certified guides, AIARE educators, and experts like Mary Eden—each with deep expertise and a passion for teaching.
Think about your goals: avalanche safety for backcountry travel, climbing certifications for guiding, or skill-focused clinics for recreation. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to help you select the best fit.
